Where the data comes from
WeightedShares uses SEC EDGAR and official filings as the primary source for published annual diluted weighted-average share trends. Each published value identifies the filing, fiscal period, measure, and date used. Period-end shares and buyback data remain separate context.
Current public chart values use SEC EDGAR. Other source types are reserved and would be labeled if used.

FAQ
Does WeightedShares use SEC EDGAR as its primary source?
Yes. Published annual diluted weighted-average share values use SEC EDGAR and official filings. Buyback and period-end figures remain separate context.
Are WeightedShares charts real-time market data?
No. WeightedShares charts describe company filing data. They are not intraday market data, price feeds, trading signals, or valuation outputs.
Why do charts show filing periods instead of intraday dates?
The data comes from SEC filings and XBRL facts. Filing date, period end, accession number, unit, and tag context matter more than intraday timing.
Can licensed provider data appear on public charts?
Not currently. Published values use SEC EDGAR. Licensed provider data would appear only if field-level display rights, attribution requirements, and caching rules were recorded first.
What happens when a company files an amended 10-K or 10-Q?
The affected company result is checked again before the published value changes. The page should say whether it uses the amended filing or the originally filed value.
Why are some sources shown as dated copies?
Saved filing copies are dated copies of the same SEC EDGAR source. They include a capture date and are never presented as live data.
